Eligibility

You are eligible to submit your application to this program is you have the following qualifications:


  • You have a minimum bachelor or master degree and are graduated before the program's start date in January 25, 2016.
  • You have a networking, engineering, computer science, mathematics or Physics degree or similar areas. An emphasis on software design is preferred.
  • Competencies in data structures, algorithms SW design and object-oriented skills are preferred.
  • You are fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • You are able to legally live and work in Kenya without requiring a visa.
  • You are willing to come to Nairobi for a minimum 12 months, which is the duration of training. The position after training will also be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

About The Cisco Graduate Systems Engineer Position

As a Cisco graduate systems engineer, you will be on the technical track for a comprehensive development program called the Cisco Sales Associates Program (CSAP).
CSAP is meant for top university students from around the world who aspire to become the next generation of engineers at Cisco.

This graduate systems engineer position is a 12 months program that will expose you to a global environment, give you on the job training and prepare you for a successful engineering career at Cisco.

For the first three months of the program, you’ll undergo courses focusing on the latest technology advancements, including Cisco architectures, solutions, products, and competitors.

Over the following nine months, you’ll advance into a pre-sales role within the Global Virtual Engineering organization supporting the Cisco sales teams, while continuing certification studies, and virtual learning. Global Virtual Engineering is a multilevel technical presales organization, which provides Systems Engineering services to Customers, Partners, and internal Cisco sales employees in a global virtual networked environment.

Upon successful graduation from the Program, you’ll be transitioned into a Systems Engineering role within Cisco, where you can continue to grow your career.
